Bobcat Golf Takes On The Stock Farm

The Stock Farm is located in Hamilton Montana and is Charles Schwab's Club. The course is a Fazio design. Most of the members live out of state and stay in cabins located on property. The golf team stayed in luxury in those cabins and spent 2 days playing the golf course. They were also treated to a first class dinner in the clubhouse by Arlene and Brent Musburger. Alan Surges, Director of Golf, made the experience top notch and treated the team with the kindest hospitality! Thank you!!

Gillum Named Big Sky Conference Golfer of the Year

After two victories to finish out her career as a Bobcat Golfer, Kelly Gillum has been named the Big Sky Conference Golfer of the Year.

Montana State golfer Kelly Gillum has captured the 2008-09 Big Sky Conference Player of the Year award, becoming just the second player in school history to earn the honor. The first Bobcat to win the honor, Jen McGregor, was also the medalist at the 1995 Big Sky Conference Tournament played in Bozeman at Riverside Country Club. Gillum wins the honor by virtue of being the highest rated golfer in the Big Sky Conference using Golf Stat ratings, a national rating system for collegiate and high school golfers. Gillum was medalist in two tourneys this spring—the Red Rocks Invite and the conference preview event, the Cowgirl Classic at Chandler, Arizona.
